After a bit of a lull, were back with some big tech announcements this week, courtesy of Samsung. Thats right, its time for the next Samsung Unpacked event.
The Korean tech giant is hosting a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked announcement event on Wednesday, July 9, at 10 a.m. ET. Its in Brooklyn this year, but for the vast majority of people reading this, the more pertinent piece of information is that you can watch it live from wherever you are. Just head to either Samsungs website or Samsungs YouTube channel on Wednesday morning, and youll be good to go.
As for what to expect from Unpacked this time around, the smart money is on foldable devices. Samsung has made a habit of refreshing its Z Flip and Z Fold lines around this time annually, and were due for the Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7, assuming thats what theyre called. In typical Samsung fashion, weve been getting a steady stream of leaks and rumors in recent weeks (more like a deluge of leaks).
There have also been persistent rumors of some kind of ultra foldable, but theres no guarantee that such a device will appear at this Unpacked. We may also hear more about wearables, such as a new Galaxy Watch or even Samsungs upcoming Project Moohan XR headset, but expect foldables to be the focus.
